Obituary

A service was held on the 25th February for the Passing of my dear wife:
Jan Iles.

Many of you would have seen her name mentioned in the copyright.
Whilst Jan was not directly involved in the website maintenance, credit must be given for letting me take a laptop on many holidays and showing great patience while I helped someone advertise their birds or just to give advice.

Though not so in recent years she accompanied me to bird sales and meetings all over the country. Her favourites being Mynah Birds, Senegal Parrots, Timneh Greys & Budgies.

Jan successfully hand reared many parrots & conures. 
They would only be sold to good homes and nice people. 

Jan also bred Marmoset Monkeys with great success.

We did keep an enclosure with Wallabies at birdtrek HQ and finding a young wallaby abandoned by its mother, Jan rescued it, made a pouch and carried around and bottle fed it to independence.
It was rehomed to a Children’s Zoo.

Take only memories, leave only footprints.
